A thriving healthcare system is seeking a Nocturnist Physician to work in the Saginaw, MI area!
Seeking Family or Internal Medicine physicians to work as an admitting physician on overnight shifts!

- Health System is a leading provider in the Great Lakes Bay Region, with more than 560 physicians, over 20 inpatient and outpatient facilities
Responsibilities: Nocturnist
- Internal / Family Medicine Physician
- The Hospital Medicine Admitting physician is responsible for the care of all patients admitted to the hospital service during one of 2 overnight shifts.
- This includes assessing patients, ordering, and interpreting diagnostic tests, managing medications, and providing patient education.
- This position will also work closely with the day team to ensure a smooth transition of care.
- There are two (2), 12-hour shifts physicians can work: 5pm- 5am or 8pm- 8am
- Flexible scheduling and required to work fifteen (15)- twelve (12) hour shifts per month
- Assess patients admitted to the hospital overnight through the emergency department
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Manage medications
- Provide patient education
- Work closely with the day team to ensure a smooth transition of care
- Attend rounds and conferences
- Complete all required documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain licensure and board certification
Qualifications: Nocturnist
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification/Board Eligible in Internal or Family Medicine
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work nights and weekends
