We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

  • Work alongside three hospitalist physicians, one nocturnist physician, a clinical performance nurse, and one swing APP.

Qualifications:

  • Internal or family medicine board certification.
  • Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in Washington.

Flexible Scheduling:

  • Our nocturnist position offers flexible scheduling to suit your needs.
  • Most employees work a seven-on-7 seven-off schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Our hospital is organized into five units: two medical-surgical units, one progressive care unit, one cardiac/step-down care unit, and one intensive care unit (ICU). The ICU is staffed with a dedicated critical care physician with tele-ICU capabilities.
  • Support level 3 trauma center, stroke center, and comprehensive cardiac center, our facility provides specialized care.
  • Overseeing inpatient care, handling new admissions, and supervising the swing APP.
  • Active participation in mandatory multidisciplinary rounds ensures patient safety and directs appropriate resources.
  • Team members are deeply committed to the hospital’s success and actively participate in various committees such as the sepsis, readmission, peer review, credentialing, and glycemic.
  • Mentor PA students through clinical rotations and engage in health equity projects initiated by the hospital’s quality department.
