Hospital is a licensed, 61-bed, not-for-profit community hospital located in southeastern Vermont, serving a rural population of about 55,000 people in 22 towns in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The medical staff includes more than 130 board-certified providers in primary care and many other specialties, with a shared mission of providing exceptional health care delivered with compassion and respect. The Health System includes a multi-specialty group practice of primary care and specialty care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Over 110 active volunteers assist 600 employees in caring for our community. A comprehensive renovation of medical offices and operating rooms is slated to begin in the spring of 2020, and is scheduled to be completed by 2022._x000D_

The Nocturnist would be responsible for 12-14 12-hour shifts per month, seeing an average of 2-6 admissions each night, overseeing an open intermediate care/step down unit, which includes temporary vent management. Specialty backup includes surgeons to perform central line insertions, respiratory therapists, Emergency Medicine physicians and CRNAs. _x000D_

Board-certified preferred, will consider board-eligible and recent graduates._x000D_
EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:_x000D_
2-3 years' experience as a Hospitalist or Nocturnist_x000D_
Experience in rural health preferred, but not required._x000D_
Vent management experience required._x000D_
Experience running codes._x000D_
