Join Our Team as a Movement Disorders Physician!
Mercy Health Physician Partners is actively seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Movement Disorders Physician to join the dedicated Mercy Health Hauenstein Neurosciences team in the vibrant city of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
As part of a leading neurology practice, you will have the opportunity to work within a facility that emphasizes both outstanding patient care and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treatment model utilizes pharmacology, surgical, and non-surgical methods.
- Collaborate with highly experienced neurosurgical specialists for deep brain stimulation when surgery is necessary.
- Participate in 1 in 10 in-patient weekend calls for general neurology (non-stroke), with coverage from a Neuro-hospitalist during other times.
- Engage in outpatient practice with the option to include some general neurology.
- Contribute to a robust neurology residency program, with opportunities for teaching and education.
- Encourage and participate in research initiatives in collaboration with the MSU Department of Translational Neurosciences.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (with expectation of being Board Certified within 2 years) or Board Certified in Neurology - REQUIRED
- Fellowship-trained in Movement Disorders (to be completed prior to start) - REQUIRED
- Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- DEA verbal confirmation (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- ACLS & BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Fellowship training in Movement Disorders.
- Active Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA registration.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
