Job Opportunity: Locum Physician for Traumatic Brain Injury and General Medicine

Join a dynamic healthcare team dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans. This locum position offers a unique opportunity to conduct a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury examinations at various locations in beautiful Wyoming. The practice focuses on providing non-treatment evaluations tailored to veterans' needs, with both half-day and full-day options available.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations of veterans, primarily through interviews and physical assessments.
  • Conduct General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • Record evaluations in VES's provider portal and submit Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours.
  • Complete necessary record reviews and follow-up administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions.
  • Participate in training for Reporting/DBQs and undergo DMA certification if not already certified.
  • Utilize your personal laptop (non-Mac) for examinations and documentation.
  • May require travel to various locations as needed based on client demand.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R, or related fields.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Wyoming.
  • Proficient in METs testing and the evaluation of respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Experience with musculoskeletal conditions, diabetes, and cardiology.
  • Current CV with home address listed.
  • Must have the willingness to complete required DMA training for certification.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Board Certification is mandatory.
  • Must possess an active state license without restrictions.
  • Certification as a DMA is required and must be completed once privileged.
  • ECFMG certificate is needed for international medical graduates.
