Are you an experienced neurohospitalist looking for a flexible work schedule with a dynamic team? We have a unique opportunity to join our inpatient neurology service, where you’ll play a pivotal role in patient care while enjoying flexibility in your schedule.
Position Overview:
As a Neurohospitalist, you'll be responsible for providing seven days of 24-hour call coverage each month. The call coverage includes stroke consultations via telestroke from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM on weekdays and full weekend coverage. The position also involves managing new consults, rounding on active patients, and performing follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide stroke coverage via telestroke after hours (5:00 PM – 8:00 AM) and weekends.
Conduct neuro consults, rounding, and follow-ups for adult and geriatric patients.
Manage inpatient studies and be proficient in reading EEG.
Work with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Use EPIC EMR for patient documentation and management.
Schedule & Flexibility:
Current schedule is Friday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with 7 days of call coverage per month.
Flexibility on when you cover your seven days of call each month.
Expectation to be onsite during the day while on call, and the ability to leave at 5:00 PM once you're officially on call.
Qualifications:
Board-certified Neurologist with expertise in stroke and EEG interpretation.
Must have experience with inpatient rounding and consults in a hospital setting.
Proficient in EPIC EMR.
Must be comfortable with adult and geriatric patient populations.
