• 6 month initial duration with extension potential

Schedule

• 24 hour call shifts: 7:00am-7:00am
• 3-7 days per month as needed for coverage

Clinical Details

• Trauma surgery, rounds on inpatients
• Diagnosing complex medical problems by referring to a patient’s history, examining them, and conducting neurological tests
• Counseling patients on neurological disorders
• Ordering neurological tests and interpreting the results of neuroimaging studies
• Prescribing and/or administering treatment and medication
• Monitoring the behavioral and cognitive side effects of treatment and medication
• Ordering supportive care services for patients
• Performing and interpreting lumbar punctures, electroencephalography, electromyography, and nerve conduction velocity tests
• Performing surgical procedures to treat conditions related to the Spine and Brain

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board-certified in Neurosurgery (ABNS)
• Active CA License
• Fellowship in Spine Surgery
