Join Our Neuropsychology Team in Grand Rapids, MI!
We are seeking a dedicated Neuropsychologist (PhD) to be a part of our full-time Neuropsychology team in the vibrant city of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role offers a mix of outpatient and inpatient work with a team of experienced providers. Enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule with no holidays or weekends, allowing for a balanced work-life commitment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive adult and geriatric cognitive and psychological assessments to assist with accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
- Conduct 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient clinical services.
- Perform and interpret at least 8 neuro-cognitive tests weekly.
- Collaborate with a team of four providers and a Psychometrist for efficient operations.
- Conduct pre-surgical assessments, including evaluations for deep brain stimulation and epilepsy surgery.
- Assess specific cognitive disturbances related to various medical and neurological conditions.
- Evaluate decision-making capacity when necessary.
- Engage in leadership roles or specific skill-based training as required.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an education institute accredited by the American Psychological Association (REQUIRED).
- Successful completion of an internship endorsed by the American Psychological Association (REQUIRED).
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an organized healthcare setting, supervised by a licensed psychologist, with one year post-doctorate (REQUIRED).
- Clean malpractice history (PREFERRED).
- MI license or willingness to obtain (REQUIRED).
- Preference for candidates with 2+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Experience in specific areas like memory disturbance, dementia, and cognitive disturbances associated with neurological conditions is valued.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Michigan license or willing to obtain.
- Completion of an internship endorsed by the American Psychological Association.
- 2+ years of clinical experience under a licensed psychologist, including one year post-doctorate.
