Permanent Physician - Movement Disorders

Shift: Days + 1 in 10 in-patient weekend call for general neurology (non-stroke) with other times covered by Neuro-hospitalist.

Position Details:

Patient Population: Adults
Setting: Out-patient with inpatient responsibilities
Responsibilities:

  • Treatment model focuses on pharmacology, surgical, and non-surgical methods.
  • If surgery is required, specialists are experienced in deep brain stimulation.
  • Out-patient practice can accommodate some general neurology, if preferred.
  • 1 in 10 in-patient weekend call for general neurology (non-stroke).
  • Teaching/education opportunities available.
  • Research encouraged, with a partnership with MSU Department of Translational Neurosciences.

Required Procedures: General Neurology, Movement Disorders
EMR System: N/A
Support Staff: Neurologists, Neuro-hospitalists
Days Per Month: Full-time
On-Call/Weekends: 1 in 10 in-patient weekend call

Submission Requirements:

  • Board Eligible (with expectation of being BC within 2 years) or Board Certified in Neurology - Required
  • Fellowship-trained in Movement Disorders (to be completed prior to start) - Required
  • MI license (or willing to obtain) - Required
  • DEA Verbal Confirmation (or willing to obtain) - Required
  • ACLS & BLS (or willing to obtain) - Required
