Facility in Columbus, OH seeking Epilepsy Neurology locums coverage

Rates: $290/hr

The facility is seeking an Epilepsy Neurologist for inpatient call coverage. This role requires on-site inpatient coverage and call, including weekends. Remote EEG monitoring may be incorporated.

  • Hours: 7 a.m.–7 a.m. (24-hour call).

• Practice Setting:

  • 95% inpatient care, 5% outpatient EEG review.

  • Average inpatient census: 8 patients/day.

• Support Staff: 14 physicians, 3 APPs.

• Trauma Level: Level II at Mount Carmel East.

• Patient Demographic:

  • Adult: 90%

  • Pediatric: 10% (age 16+).

• EMR System: EPIC.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Physically see all inpatients across the three hospital sites, including weekends.

• Provide remote EEG monitoring (as requested).

• Handle trauma-related cases as necessary (e.g., GSW, hypothermia).

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Epilepsy – REQUIRED (no exceptions).

  • BLS – REQUIRED.

• Licensure:

  • Active Ohio medical license – REQUIRED (IMLC not accepted).

• Other:

  • COVID-19 vaccination – REQUIRED.

  • Clean malpractice history and background – REQUIRED.

  • Local/drive-in candidates preferred.
