Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for 3 hospitals in system.
- Inpatient coverage: Must physically see all inpatients at all 3 sites, including weekends and nights.
- EEG review: Remote monitoring of EEGs is required (essential for the role).
- No daytime outpatient clinic.
- Provide Epilepsy consultation and care, including emergency interventions for inpatient cases.
- Potential for trauma-related cases (e.g., gunshot wounds, hypothermia) at Level II trauma center.
- Work alongside other neurologists and 3 advanced practice providers.
- Hospital-based practice, no rehab or sleep-related cases.
- Average of 8 hospital-based patients per day.
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Trained in Epileptology (required, no exceptions)
- Ohio state medical license (required, no exceptions – not accepting IMLC)
- BLS certification (required)
- COVID vaccinated (required)
- Clean background with no malpractice claims (required)
- Must be available for the specified dates (credentialing takes at least 120 days):
- April 2-13, 2025
- June 30 - July 6, 2025
- July 21-27, 2025

Facility Overview:
- Practice Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based, with some outpatient EEG review.
- Patient Breakdown:
- Adult: 90%
- Pediatric (16+): 10%
- Trauma-related cases: Dependent on the day, providers may encounter trauma cases (e.g., GSW, hypothermia) at Level II trauma center.
- Inpatient: 95% of cases are inpatient, with no outpatient clinic responsibilities.
- Hospital Coverage: 3 hospitals with a maximum of 8 patients per day.
- EMR: Epic system.
- Onsite labs and X-ray available.
