We are looking for a Locums TeleNeurologist licensed in Nebraska to join our expanding team. This is a fully remote locums role, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere within the U.S. As part of our virtual care team, you will provide expert neurology consultations to hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Shifts: 7am-7p and/or 7p-7a

Rate: $225.00 - $250.00 pr/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Act as an attending neurologist, offering stroke evaluations and handling various neurology cases for hospitals via telemedicine.
  • Conduct virtual evaluations for both emergent and routine neurology consultations, communicating promptly with Emergency Departments, subspecialists, and other medical personnel.
  • Respond to consultation requests within 5-10 minutes, with patient evaluations completed within 20 minutes for stroke-related patients (CVA/TPA/TNK).
  • Review patient histories, clinical results, and perform virtual physical exams to create management and treatment plans.
  • Complete medical documentation in the EMR system and use the CPOE system for order entries.
  • Work closely with local physicians, nursing staff, ancillary staff, and patient families to provide comprehensive care.
  • Establish and maintain strong virtual relationships with primary care physicians, consulting physicians, referring physicians, facility leadership, and clinical teams.
  • Ensure adherence to medical documentation guidelines and timely completion of encounter forms and logs in the VeeOne Health billing platform.

Requirements:

  • Active Nebraska neurology license.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
  • Telemedicine experience is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with remote teams.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to provide exceptional care in a virtual setting.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and telehealth platforms.
  • Able to respond quickly to emergency neurology consultations.
