Provider must be within 50 miles
- Waco, TX - 1.1 days per week needed
- Brownsville, TX -0.5 day per week needed
- Lubbock, TX - 0.5 per week needed
- El Paso, TX - 2 days per week needed
- Amarillo, TX - 1 day per week needed
- Abilene, TX - 0.5 day per week needed
- Tyler, TX - 0.5 day per week needed
Details:
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Must own personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
- Evaluations to be completed in VES's provider portal and records are reviewed.

RATE STRUCTURE FOR PRESENTATIONS:
***Hourly, Overtime, Holiday rates are NOT applicable with VES. All TBI/Gen Med providers must follow the rate structure below.
- Malpractice rates must be included in rates
- Half-day Rate - $1000 flat rate for 4 hour shifts or less (includes times to complete exams, submit report, including any addendums, no OT, no admin time)
- Daily Rate - $2000 flat rate for 5 hour shifts or longer (includes times to complete exams, submit report, including any addendums, no OT, no admin time)
- Bonus - one time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and working first shift/exam
- local candidates only, travel included in rates
Submission Requirements
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
- Must be willing to perform Gen Med & TBI
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible within 0-3 years of residency
- Active and unrestricted full license
- Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified
- CV needs current home address listed for presentation
- Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if they attended school in a different country.
