We are currently looking for a Neurology Hospitalist for long-term locum tenens support in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The medical center is expanding its services and requires an additional Neuro Hospitalist to meet patient needs.
Details For this Opportunity:
- Starting in July, or as soon as the locums candidate can bre credentialed, locums will be needed ongoing for one year of continuous coverage.
-Job Details: The ideal candidate should be available for at least 6 months to ensure continuity of care.
Shift Hours: 12-hour day shifts are part of the regular schedule.
Shift Schedule: The work schedule follows a 10-day block.
5 days of Neuro hospitalist duties (Inpatient Consult), then 5 days Primary Stroke Service Attending
Call Requirements: While on the Stroke Service, the Neuro Hospitalist will be on-call. Daytime coverage includes In-house Acute Stroke Code management.
Overnight, there will be Telestroke coverage. The frequency of overnight call may vary, possibly ranging from 1 to 3 nights during the 10-day block.
-Lumbar Puncture is a required procedure.
-Telemedicine may be scheduled to assist facilities on neighboring islands.
-Current Board Certification in Neurology - Required
-Licensure: Active licensure preferred. VISTA will license candidates with adequate availability being offered.
-Credentialing: Typically 3 months
