Job Description
Seeking a full-time (4.0 or 4.5 days/week) BE/BC neurologist to join a highly productive, skilled, and popular neurologist and selected outreach clinic sites to help meet clinical demands for services and build a neurology service.
Provides office-based general neurology services to new and established patients (adolescents age 16 and older as well as adults) including:
- medication management
- education and counseling of patients and families
- ordering diagnostic tests
- referral to related other specialties (e.g., cardiology, orthopedics, pain management, pulmonology, sleep medicine) locally
- referral to subspecialty neurologists at tertiary care centers
- communication with PCP s.
Most commonly diagnoses encountered are:
- Migraine
- Memory Loss
- Essential Tremor
- Parkinson's Disease
- Cognitive Impairment
- Dizziness
- Epilepsy
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Polyneuropathy
- Headache
Partners with other members of neurology team (e.g., neurologist colleague, radiologist, EEG technologists, MA s and RN s, physical therapists). Infrequently provides consultation for inpatients (0-3 times/week). More often provides curbside (unofficial) consultations to hospitalist and arranges to see patient in timely manner (<1-2 weeks) in office setting following discharge and/or specialized testing.
