***Neuro-Oncologist opening in Champaign-Urbana, IL*** - Centrally located to Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis **About the Job:** - Seeking a BE/BC Neuro-Onocologist to join our growing academic program in Champaign-Urbana, IL - Fellowship training from UCNS-accredited program required - Must be Neurology or Neurosurgery trained - Candidates with experience and new graduates are welcome to apply - Work with a team of 7 neurosurgeons, 7 hematology/oncology physicians, 4 radiation oncologists, and several APPs - Must be open to mentoring and teaching Neurology residents and medical students - Neuro-oncologist would have clinic at the Cancer Institute with appropriate staffing and access to Infusion Rooms. Practice in a multi-disciplinary setting with biweekly Brain Tumor Board and a strong support from all hospital services - Neuro-oncologist would become a member of our future multi-disciplinary neuro-oncology clinic and would have clinical collaboration and back up coverage with hematology/oncology physicians - Exceptional opportunities to conduct basic science research or translational research in collaboration with faculty at the University of Illinois - Unique opportunity to conduct clinical research using our state-of-the-art 7T MR suite at the Hospital - The U of I has a strong focus on neuroscience with a variety of research projects: from cognitive neuroscience study of human learning and memory to several imaging projects at Biomedical Imaging Center at Beckman Institute.
