On-Call Requirements: Non-burdensome call
EMR: Cerner
Trauma: Level III
Credentialing: 8-10 weeks credentialing timeframe

Job Description:
  • Small outpatient clinic with about 6 patients per day.
  • Faculty opportunities are also available
  • Teaching opportunities for Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residents and medical students
  • Primary Stroke Center - MUST have experience with Stroke
  • All surgical procedures available, except transplants; limited pediatrics; support OB, Cath Lab, and ED.
  • Required neurology procedure: Brain Death exam
  • Sub-specialty interest in EEG, EMG, Epilepsy, Sleep, MS, and Movement Disorders welcome in the context of general Neurology
  • Participate in Grand Rounds
  • 2-4 new patient consults per day
  • 6-8 patients total daily on average (new consults and follow-ups included)
  • Take all neurology inpatient/ED/network consult requests
  • Teaching expectation (will likely have IM/FM resident accompanying them)
  • 50% over age 65; 32% age 45-64; 17% age 19-44 (Pediatrics is possible but very infrequent, the most common consult diagnosis is seizures)
Requirements:
  • Board Eligible (become BC within 3 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neurology - Required
  • Must have experience with Stroke - Required
  • Active IA license or IMLC - Preferred
  • BLS, ACLS (by the time of start) - Required
  • DEA (by the time of start) - Required
