Position: General Neurologist

Location:

The successful candidate will work across multiple locations: Berlin, NH (03570), Lancaster, NH (03584), and Gorham, NH.

Start Date:

As soon as possible

Compensation Package:

  • Base Salary: $337,391 annually
  • CME Funds: $4,500 for licensure, DEA, medical staff dues, professional memberships, tuition, and travel for conferences (prorated for an FTE of 0.89 + $4,500).
  • Commencement Bonus: $25,000
  • Projected Total Compensation: $352,391 (base and 100% of citizenship bonus) plus productivity incentives

Schedule:

  • Work Week: 4 to 4.5 days per week
  • Hours: 8 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 5 pm (8 hours of clinical time/day)
  • Appointment Duration: Initial 40-60 minutes, transitioning to 20 minutes for follow-ups and 60 minutes for new patients
  • Patient Load: 12 to 16 patients per day (2 to 4 new patients daily)
  • Day Off: To be mutually agreed upon during employment agreement negotiations (options include Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday)

Qualifications:

  • Preferred candidates have 2-5 years of experience in general neurology
  • Open to select new graduates from residency or fellowship training
  • Experience in small hospitals or Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) is desirable
  • Must be comfortable with rural practice settings, solo coverage, and having one neurology colleague
  • Special clinical interests in areas such as headaches, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, dementia, and EEG interpretation are beneficial
  • Ability to perform Botox injections is a plus
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and patient-focused with excellent customer service skills

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide office-based general neurology services to patients aged 16 and older
  • Medication management, patient and family education, ordering diagnostic tests, and referrals to other specialties
  • Partner with a team of neurologists, radiologists, EEG technologists, medical assistants, nurses, and physical therapists
  • Occasionally provide inpatient consultations and frequent curbside consultations for hospitalists
  • Utilization of Meditech Expanse EMR system

Diagnostic and Ancillary Services:

  • Imaging: MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, plain radiographs, nuclear medicine
  • Neurodiagnostic: EEGs, NCS/EMGs, lumbar punctures
  • Cardiology Diagnostics: Stress tests, echocardiograms, TEE, and monitor testing
  • Pulmonary Diagnostics: PFTs, ABG, 6-minute walks, and overnight oximetry testing
  • Sleep Diagnostics: Home and attended sleep studies
  • Rehabilitation Services: Extensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy
