Locum - Physician - Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine
Join a dedicated team helping our nation's veterans! We're seeking a compassionate physician for a locum position in Oklahoma, specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury and General Medicine. This opportunity allows you to contribute to veteran care by conducting assessments at various facilities in McAlester, Lawton, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City. The role is PRN, offering flexible scheduling and minimal commitment, perfect for those looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of veterans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews and physical assessments for veterans focusing on General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- Complete one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Utilize a goniometer for physical evaluations.
- Perform record reviews and follow up with necessary administrative work such as addendums and medical opinions.
- Ensure timely submission of Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours of exam completion.
- Administer evaluations in VES's provider portal and familiarize with standardized forms.
- Participate in training for reporting and Disability Benefits Questionnaires.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Oklahoma.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to achieve DMA certification.
- Personal laptop required (no Mac/Apple products).
- Proficiency in METs testing and evaluation of respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Strong understanding of musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in a relevant specialty.
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in Oklahoma.
- Completed DMA training prior to start.
