Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Neurologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy and accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details

We are seeking an Attending Neurologist to work full-time in the Department of Medicine.

  • Provide clinical care in an inpatient and outpatient setting
  • Inpatient and outpatient consultation in general neurology
  • Provide resident and medical education and participate in scholarship
  • Provide clinical guidance and direction to other members of the healthcare team as needed.
  • Performs other administrative, professional, consultative duties as needed by the department Chairperson

Qualifications

  • Active, Unrestricted NYS License
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology (ABMS)
  • Collegial demeanor
  • Experience attending to an underserved population preferred
