Locum - Neurology - MD/DO

Job Title: Locum Physician - Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine

Join a dynamic team dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans through General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury examinations. This position offers the opportunity to work in various locations throughout Texas, including Brownsville, Lubbock, El Paso, and Amarillo, with flexible scheduling options for healthcare professionals dedicated to making a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams.
• Conduct interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
• Document evaluations using standardized forms within 48 hours of exam completion.
• Participate in follow-up administrative tasks such as addendums and medical opinions.
• Ensure proficiency in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
• Utilize personal laptop to complete evaluations in the provider portal (Mac devices are not permitted).

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Texas.
• Proficient in evaluating musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions.
• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
• Experience with reporting and completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in a relevant medical specialty.
• Valid Texas medical license.
• DMA certification required (can be obtained post-privileging).
