Vascular Neurologist Physician - MedStar Health

MedStar Health is seeking a full-time, Board eligible or Board Certified Vascular Neurologist to join their established team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in the Baltimore area.

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center (MFSMC) is the strategic hub for MedStar Health and the Neurosciences in the Baltimore region. Annually, our hospital averages provision of IV thrombolysis once every 3 days, emergent thrombectomy once every 9 days, and manages over 20 cases of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. MFSMC was accredited as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center in 2022 and is currently applying for accreditation as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. In addition to three fellowship-trained Neurointensivists, a Vascular Neurosurgeon, and Vascular Neurology-trained Neuroendovascular Surgeon, the Neurology Dept includes an additional Vascular Neurologist, Epileptologists, Neuromuscular Neurologist, and a Movement Disorders Neurologist. Advanced Practice Providers are key clinical team members within our Neurosciences Teams.

The planned start date for this position will be in the Summer or Fall of 2024.

This position has a hiring range of $198,385.00-$337,567.00

Job Responsibilities

The position seeks to primarily establish outpatient subspecialty care for outpatient consultation and follow-up of complex vascular disease and general neurology. Telestroke and infrequent inpatient consultative coverage are required. This opportunity would allow the physician to join a large, integrated health care system while being able to easily establish and maintain a positive work-life balance. This position also offers the option to be eligible for an academic appointment at Georgetown University School of Medicine if interested.
