This bustling private practice, 70 miles east of Nashville, is seeking board certified/board Neurologist to serve as a Neuro-hospitalist. The regional medical center is a primary stroke center, serving a mix of general neurology, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, stroke, brain injury and ALS patients. There is also an opportunity to conduct sleep studies if interested. Full-service regional hub providing most surgical services, including Neurosurgery.


WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Only Work 17 1/2 weeks per year
  • Join Two Other Neuro-Hospitalists
  • 1 Week On, 2 Weeks Off
  • Typical Day on site is from 7:00A -6:00P
  • Call is mostly patients already in house or new admits
  • No overnight ED call. Covered by Vanderbilt Tele-Neurology
  • Average of five to seven new consults per day & 9-10 follow up consults
  • Trauma transferred to Nashville, Chattanooga and Knoxville
  • Primary Stoke Center
  • Hospital EMR is Paragon
  • ED census of 53,000 per year
  • State-of-the-art neuro- imaging capabilities (MRI, CT, CTA, Nuclear Camera & PET), evoked potentials diagnostics, EEG & EMG
