Outstanding Opportunity for a Neurocritical Care Physician with a Great Work/Life Balance Schedule!

Our esteemed Level I Trauma and Primary Stroke Center is actively searching for a Neurocritical Care Specialist to enhance our comprehensive team. As a leader in Phoenix, our trauma and neurosurgical program provides multidisciplinary care, and we are on a mission to make a positive impact in our communities.

Join our vibrant neuro ICU equipped with established protocols and order sets. The neurointensivist will be an integral part of our trauma and stroke team, managing various pathologies such as subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracranial hemorrhage, diffuse axonal injury, closed head injury, status epilepticus, ischemic stroke, anoxic brain injury, and encephalopathies in a critical care setting.

You will collaborate closely with 3 other Neurocritical Care physicians, 6 Neurosurgeons, 6 Trauma Surgeons, 2 Stroke Neurologists, 6 Neurohospitalists, and 3 Mid-level providers. Our hospital boasts a full in-house hospitalist, trauma, and anesthesia program, along with round-the-clock Critical Care support for late-night intubations and central lines.

Here's What You Can Expect:

  • A balanced work-life lifestyle.
  • A generous allocation of 26 weeks of vacation annually.
  • Access to remote imaging (compatible with iPhone and Android).
  • Remote access to Epic EMR for note writing from anywhere.
  • Remote access to EEG.
  • NO outpatient clinic responsibilities.
  • A role that's 100% dedicated to Neurocritical Care with a 50% focus on Stroke using InTouch Telemedicine and nurse practitioner assistance, with no general neurology responsibilities.
  • The opportunity to acquire skills in ventriculostomies, TCDs, and invasive intracranial monitor placement.
  • A secure salaried position.
  • Light Stroke call, with an average of 2 stroke alert activations per call, resulting in 8 stroke calls every 4 weeks. Stroke calls always coincide with regular neuro ICU days.

Requirements:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Neurocritical Care.
  • Completion of a neurology residency and an accredited fellowship in Neurocritical Care.
  • Comfort with standard ICU procedures.
  • Proficiency in EEG interpretation.
