Orlando Health’s Neuroscience Institute invites you to explore our Board Eligible/Board Vascular Neurology opportunity within a thriving physician-led, professionally managed healthcare system.
The ideal candidate for this dynamic opportunity is a medical professional who is a fellowship trained, Board Eligible/Board Certified Vascular Neurologist and must have a Florida state medical license. Additional responsibilities include specializing in diagnosing, treating and managing conditions of cerebrovascular disease, which are conditions that affect the blood vessels in the brain and spinal cord.

Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute Program Highlights:
- Collaborate with world-class specialists and departments including Neurointerventional surgery and Neurocritical care, as well as multiple other divisions across the institution. Treat a wide variety of patients with a challenging case mix equitable to major east coast academic institutions.
- Staff the stroke unit and manage acute stroke in the ED across our system and inpatient.
- ORMC 16 dedicated Neurocritical Care beds, 16 Neuroscience Stepdown Unit beds, 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit beds, and 32 Neuroscience medical beds.
- ORMC Recognized for high quality stroke care including American Heart Association's Gold Plus Stroke Award and the Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus Award.
- Responsible for, on average, 6 overnight calls per 4-week block. Overnight call is via video from home after hours. No non-stroke overnight call.

As part of our team, you will:

About Us:
- Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute offers patients a multidisciplinary approach to care that comprises consultative services, sophisticated diagnostic testing capabilities, and both noninvasive and advanced surgical treatment options. A highly skilled team of more than 45 physicians and 37 advanced practice providers deliver a superior level of care in more than 16 areas of specialty, including brain tumors, epilepsy, functional neurosurgery, headache and facial pain, interventional pain, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular disease, neuropsychology and behavioral health, rehabilitation, spine surgery, and vascular neurology/neurosurgery.
- The institute delivers the most advanced neurological care available, including serving the area’s only Level I Trauma Center at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). Its team has achieved Joint Commission stroke certification at six Orlando Health facilities, including the only Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center in Central Florida at Orlando Health ORMC, which provides the highest level of stroke expertise with four neurovascular neurosurgeons and 24/7 coverage by vascular neurologists. The program also has earned Joint Commission core certification in spine surgery and partners with Orlando Health Cancer Institute in a neuro-oncology/brain and spine tumor program.
- In addition to clinical excellence, the institute maintains a strong focus on research and education, with a robust research program supporting participation in ongoing studies and clinical trials to improve outcomes and an established neurology residency program and future neurosurgery residency program.
- The institute offers both inpatient and outpatient services and more than 10 practice locations across Central Florida. A planned state-of-the-art facility — anticipated to open in 2024 — will be the new home of Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute, serving patients throughout the southeastern United States. Located on Orlando Health’s downtown campus, the three-story, 45,000-square-foot building will enable the institute to care for more patients while also placing a team of highly skilled neurologists and neurosurgeons in one central and convenient location.
