Unique Position for Motivated Neurovascular Physician

Renown Health’s Neurosciences Institute is expanding our stroke services to provide high quality, cutting edge, evidenced-based care, in our South Reno location. South Meadows Medical Center is a 140 bed hospital with 24/7 full service support.

We are committed to developing a Primary Stroke Center and Advanced Neurovascular Clinic at Renown South Meadows Medical Center to serve a growing population. This will be a unique hybrid opportunity for a candidate who is interested in working with a robust neurovascular team to build a Primary Stroke Center to augment our organizations comprehensive stroke center. This position will have room for administrative advancement such as Medical Director for Stroke services at South Meadows Medical Center. This is an opportunity to work closely with the current neurovascular team, CSC stroke medical director, and neurology department as a whole to develop a new program as part of a rapidly expanding, cutting-edge stroke service.

The Neurovascular neurologist will perform General Neuro Consult service while on shift and also work ½ days in the Adv. Neurovascular Clinic seeing vascular patients who have been discharged from both of Renown’s stroke centers and second opinions as the region’s main tertiary referral center.

The recent affiliation between Renown Health and the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine forms the perfect foundation for ultimate success! The neurovascular physicians are part of Renown’s Joint Faculty for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and will have the opportunity to teach Residents and Medical Students.

• Traditional schedule – Monday through Friday
• No overnight call at South Meadows medical center
• Neurovascular Clinic on campus - scheduled half days.

• Option to take shifts at comprehensive stroke center if interested.
