Clinical research is encouraged and supported, and there is an opportunity for academic appointments at the University of California, Irvine. Opportunities to teach include medical students, pediatric residents, pediatric neurology fellows, and clinical neurophysiology fellows. Faculty members have also mentored biomedical engineers.

Our multidisciplinary programs include a high-risk infant bridge clinic, Ketogenic Diet, and TSC Clinic with support from neuropsychology, social work, pharmacy, and registered dietitians. In addition, there is an ongoing collaboration with the Autism Center for Autism-Epilepsy Co-Occurring Clinic and with the CHOC Sleep Center, providing combined video-EEG and polysomnography monitoring.
