**Transplant Nephrologist Opportunity - Burlington, Massachusetts** We are seeking a dedicated Transplant Nephrologist to join a leading Division of Transplantation in the Department of Surgery. Located just 15 miles northwest of Boston, this opportunity offers a blend of professional growth and access to a vibrant city with proximity to Cape Cod, beaches, and outdoor activities in New England. **Practice Details** - Over 450 combined patients on the kidney transplant waiting list and in evaluation. - Annually perform 50-66 kidney transplants, with ~25 being living donor transplants. - Participation in the National Kidney Registry program (NKR). - Excellent outcomes for donors and recipients. - Collaborative team includes transplant nephrologists, transplant surgeons, surgical fellows, hepatologists, and a hepatology fellow. - Supported by a multidisciplinary team of advanced practitioners, pharmacists, nutritionists, social workers, financial coordinators, and nurse coordinators. **Position Details** - Pre-transplant clinic evaluations. - Kidney transplant waitlist appointments. - Donor evaluations. - Inpatient coverage and post-transplant nephrology clinic. - Managing renal replacement therapy (CRRT, HD, and PD) for kidney and liver transplant patients. **Other Details** - Develop clinical protocols and participate in referral reviews. - Serve on candidate and donor selection committees. - Engage in multidisciplinary rounds, QAPI meetings, hospital department meetings, and M&M conferences. - Conduct outreach to foster community relationships and referrals. - Instruct fellows, residents, and medical students. - Opportunities to engage in focused research and grow the kidney exchange program through NKR. **Position Requirements** - MD/DO from an accredited medical school. - Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology (ABIM). - Licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts. - Completed transplant nephrology fellowship. - Academic rank at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. - Strong communication skills, work ethic, and team-oriented mindset. **Benefits Details** - Competitive compensation package with CME expense reimbursement and malpractice insurance. - Paid time off, CME time, and comprehensive retirement options with employer contributions. - Medical, dental, vision, life/disability insurance, and more.
