Nephrologist Opportunity – East Tennessee/Knoxville Area

Seeking a dedicated Nephrologist to join an established team in the East Tennessee/Knoxville area. This role offers a collaborative environment backed by a strong healthcare institution and robust referral network to support your success.

Position Highlights:

  • Scope of Practice: Addressing rising demand for kidney care; 15-22 patients per day in clinic
  • Support Structure: 2 nurses per provider and 1 APP as patient volume grows
  • Referral Network: Strong base with over 40+ primary care providers for steady patient flow
  • Work Environment: Manage 2-3 exam rooms, with light hospital consults for comprehensive care
  • EMR System: Transitioning to EPIC in 2025

Schedule:

  • Flexible M-F scheduling with options for:
    • 4.5-day workweek
    • Bi-weekly call
    • Alternative 7on-7off schedule could be arranged

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Guarantee: $375K-$400K for the first year (based on experience)
  • Incentives: Transition to wRVU model after year-1, with earnings up to $500K (90th percentile)
    • Quarterly bonus eligibility

    • Student Loan Repayment: $11K annually (up to $150K)
    • Sign-on Bonus: $12,500
