An established Academic Hospital is currently seeking a Nephrologist to join their growing team at their Bronx site!
About the Opportunity:
- Setting: Hospital, mix of outpatient and inpatient clinical responsibilities,
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Call: shared
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat kidney diseases, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and end-stage renal disease.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Manage patients on dialysis.
- Conduct office visits for follow-up care, medication management, and patient education.
- Perform hospital rounding and admissions for nephrology patients.
- Round at dialysis centers to monitor treatment progress and address patient concerns.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of nephrology fellowship.
- Board certification or eligibility in nephrology.
- NY State medical license.
- Strong clinical skills and excellent bedside manner.
