Job Responsibilities

The Nephrologist provides treatment of patients for ailments related to renal functions, such as the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to the human kidney and its functions; examination and treatment of patients for symptoms of organic or congenital disorders such as acute and/or chronic renal failure, hematuria, cancer of the kidney, and chronic or recurrent urinary tract infections; determine nature and extent of disorder, referring to diagnostic images, laboratory tests, and urine samples and using medical instruments and equipment; referrals for ultrasounds, and CT scans, as needed; and prescribe and monitor medication and/or dialysis as indicated by diagnosis.

Qualifications

Medical degree, completion of a three-year residency program in Internal Medicine, two-year Fellowship Program in Nephrology and a valid Oregon Medical license.

Full-time position with flexible hours
1:6- 1:7 call schedule

Skills

• Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge in all areas of Nephrology.
• Knowledgeable of state and federal regulations as they pertain to Nephrology as a subspecialty of Internal Medicine.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current DEA license required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to keep all medical information confidential.
