Renown Health, Northern Nevada's largest and only not-for-profit healthcare network, is hiring a Transplant Nephrologist.

Join our newly established Transplant Surgery Department with Renown Medical Group practicing in the region’s busiest Level II Trauma Center serving a catchment area of over 100,000.

Fellowship training in Transplant Nephrology preferred. Must be eligible to meet requirements as UNOS primary physician in kidney and pancreas transplantation.

Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Transplant Nephrology

The Physician will be instrumental to help establish and elevate our new Transplant Surgery and Nephrology programs working directly under the Division Chief of Transplant Surgery.

Physician must have experience in kidney and living donor procurement, conducting consultations to diagnose kidney disease and focus on transplant-related nephrology services including dialysis ad other treatments.

The Transplant Surgery team will refer and collaborate closely within the Renown Medical Group departments including (not limited to) Urology, Nephrology, peripheral Vascular Surgery, Trauma, and Oncologic Surgical teams.

Opportunities to teach Residents and Medical Students as part of joint faculty for University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Renown Regional is a state-of-the-art, 750 bed acute care facility with comprehensive and outpatient services and 24-hour emergency care.

Position Highlights

  • Monday – Friday schedule 7 am to 5 pm
  • schedule options for 100% Transplant or Hybrid Neph/ Neph Transplant
  • Clinic support; MAs, APNs, Surgery Schedulers
  • Inpatient / outpatient care for transplant recipients
  • Clinic onsite of Regional campus
  • Evaluate, consult, diagnose patients for treatment
  • Established Nephrology team
  • Shared ER call

  • Establish regional and community kidney transplant program
