COMPANY PROFILE:
This organization is a physician-owned medical practice specializing in the care of expectant mothers and newborns. They were founded in 2016 by a small group of neonatologists serving a single hospital’s NICU. Since then, they have grown to more than 100 providers serving hospitals in multiple states, providing 24-hour care every day of the week. Their team of board certified neonatologists, obstetric hospitalists, and pediatric specialists stand by the core ethic that medicine should be the delivery of consistent, continuous care for mothers, babies, and their families. With decades of combined women’s & children’s services and more than 100 service contracts, they are a trusted strategic partner for hospitals and health systems. The practice combines a national infrastructure with local support, using their breadth and depth of clinical and operational resources to allow their physicians to spend more time on delivering high-quality care.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is employed by a private physician practice and based in a medical center in Macon. The practice currently has one physician working in the center and is seeking a second provider due to growth. The group also employs neonatal nurse practitioners.

The core details of the role include:
- small Level III NICU
- average 1,000 deliveries per year
- average daily census of 4 to 6
- 2 physician model
Physicians see an average of 5 to 10 patients per day.
