Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Medical Director to lead our Regional Maternal Fetal Medicine team located in West Michigan.
Job Description:
- Provide Physician leadership and oversight for the Maternal Fetal Medicine Service Line.
- Collaborate with Administrative & Clinical Directors for Women’s & Children’s Services in a dyad relationship.
- Work alongside OB/GYN Medical Directors for Grand Rapids and the Lakeshore.
- Oversee Trinity Health Medical Group, Maternal Fetal Medicine’s service line to ensure high-quality care for complex maternal fetal cases.
- Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with high-risk pregnancies, including diagnostic, consultative, and management services.
- Coordinate care with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists.
- Develop and enhance the Maternal Fetal Medicine program with administrative and clinical leadership.
- Achieve goals around quality, service excellence, colleague engagement, stewardship, and financial objectives.
- Provide education and mentorship to medical students and residents.
- Offer prenatal and high-risk obstetrics care.
- Perform da Vinci® robotic surgery.
- Conduct infertility evaluations.
- Provide menopausal care, pelvic pain diagnosis, and treatment.
- Deliver pelvic reconstruction and urinary incontinence treatment.
- Provide routine well-woman care, including annual exams and pap smears.
- Evaluate and treat abnormal pap smears.
- Diagnose and treat hormonal problems, including perimenopause.
- Diagnose and treat endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain.
- Perform laparoscopic gynecologic surgeries, including hysterectomy and endometrial ablation.
- Offer natural family planning and infertility evaluation.
- Diagnose and treat breast conditions and disorders.
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology, including the da Vinci Surgical System.
- Deliver obstetrical care, including high-risk pregnancies.
- Provide pre-conceptual planning through post-natal care.
- Perform deliveries and on-site ultrasounds.
- Support OB nurse educators and certified lactation counselors.
- Offer supportive counseling and perinatal mood disorder screening.
- Manage menopause with hormone therapy and alternatives.
- Diagnose and treat uterine fibroids and osteoporosis.
- Correct bladder and rectal prolapse.
- Address vaginal/uterine prolapse and abnormal bleeding.
- Provide breast exams and imaging referrals.
- Conduct cervical procedures and hysterectomy.
- Open to experienced Board Certified provider or TRULY Board Eligible recent graduates
- If candidate is TRULY Board Eligible, must become Board Certified within 2 years of becoming eligible
- Not accepting candidates who have lapsed Board Certification and need to obtain again
- Not accepting Locums candidates

- Minimum - 5 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine medical practice experience
- 2 years of experience in a leadership role or has completed training specific skills to work in the position - PREFERRED
- MI license (or willing to obtain)
- DEA (or willing to obtain)
- BLS, ACLS (or willing to obtain)
- Clean malpractice - PREFERRED
