Neonatologist - Denver, CO

About this role:
Clinical Care

  • Patient Diagnosis: Conduct thorough examinations of newborns, diagnose conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Life-Saving Interventions: Provide immediate medical care for newborns in critical condition, including resuscitation and the use of advanced life support techniques.
  • Treatment Management: Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor the progress of critically ill or premature infants.
  • Coordination of Care: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, pediatricians, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive care for newborns.
  • Parental Support: Communicate with and support parents, explaining diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses while offering emotional support.

Administrative Duties

  • Medical Records: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients’ conditions, treatments, and progress.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to hospital policies, governmental regulations, and industry standards for neonatal care.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of neonatal nurses, medical students, and residents, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.

Continuous Education

  • Professional Development: Stay current with the latest advancements in neonatology through continuing medical education, attending conferences, and reading scientific journals.
  • Research: Participate in or conduct research studies aimed at improving neonatal care and outcomes.

How we'll support you:

Compensation: Our competitive compensation consists of an initial base salary of $370,000. We are also offering a $25,000 sign on bonus. Relocation between $10,000-$20,000 available to applicable candidates.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirements

  • Medical Degree: A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency: Completion of a pediatric residency program.
  • Fellowship: Additional specialized fellowship training in neonatology.
  • Board Certification: Board certification in neonatology by a recognized medical board (e.g., the American Board of Pediatrics).
  • DEA, BLS

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$7.25 - $999.99
