Neonatology Division Chief
Join the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital Colorado as the Head of the Neonatology Section, leading a dynamic team in advancing clinical care, research, and education. As the largest quaternary care medical center in the western region, we serve as the primary referral center for newborns and infants across the Rocky Mountain region and western U.S.
**Responsibilities:**
- Oversee programmatic and financial operations to support research, clinical care, education, and advocacy activities.
- Develop innovative clinical, educational, and research programs to enhance the Section’s local standing and national reputation.
- Direct educational and clinical training programs for residents, medical students, fellows, and post-doctoral researchers.
- Support faculty recruitment, development, and mentorship.
- Establish partnerships with affiliate institutions and community organizations.
- Direct and expand Neonatology clinical patient care operations.
- Establish metrics and outcomes for clinical and academic performance.
- Facilitate community philanthropic support for Neonatology programs.
- Ensure faculty wellness, retention, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other sections within the Department of Pediatrics and across the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
**Minimum Requirements:**
**Associate Professor:**
- MD/DO with board certification in Neonatology.
- 7 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary academic Neonatology program.
- Eligibility for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor.
- Strong skills in Neonatology patient management and faculty mentorship.
**Professor:**
- MD/DO with board certification in Neonatology.
- 9-10 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary academic Neonatology program.
- Eligibility for appointment at the rank of Professor.
- Extensive experience in Neonatology patient management and faculty mentorship.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in pediatrics program development, clinical skills, research accomplishments, and leadership abilities.
- Proven ability to build constructive relationships and ensure cohesiveness among diverse entities.
- Experience working and leading within an academic institution.
**Salary Range:** $300,000 - $420,000
