We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Neonatology Physician to join our team at a community Level-III NICU in Palm Springs, California. This facility features a 30-bed NICU, with an average daily census of 21 patients and approximately 550 admissions annually. The ideal candidate will enjoy a balanced schedule that allows for a healthy work-life balance while providing exceptional care to our youngest patients.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive care for neonates in a Level-III NICU setting, including the management of high-risk infants and critically ill newborns. You will participate in a high-risk follow-up clinic to monitor and support the development of patients after discharge. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage in Pediatrix national quality initiatives aimed at enhancing neonatal care and improving patient outcomes. Teaching and mentoring residents and medical students will be an integral part of your responsibilities, contributing to their education and development in the field of pediatrics and neonatology. Effective communication with families regarding the health status and treatment plans for their infants is crucial. You will also participate in quality improvement projects and ensure compliance with hospital policies and protocols.

Compensation: $230K-$280K plus benefits and bonus potential

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Pediatrics.
  • Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Active California medical license or willingness to obtain one.
