Neonatology Opening in Indiana
- Located in Mishawaka, IN; South Bend 5m, Chicago 100m
- Full-time, permanent
- 7 on, 7 off schedule
Position Details:
- PRN neonatologists are available when needed. 24/7 Ob/Gyn laborist program in place; one Maternal Fetal Medicine physician on staff; one pediatric hospital on during the day.
- Doctor is generally available on site during usual day time hours and available from home remainder of shift.
- Average births per year are 2,000. Continued growth is expected.
- Level III NICU with 12 private beds. Unit is pro-breast feeding; baby friendly.
- Philosophy is a hands off approach, intervention only when necessary.
- Familiarity with oscillator, nitric oxide, intubation, chest tube placements, lumbar puncture, ventilation management, invasive (ETT), non-invasive (BiPap/CPAP), exchange transfusions, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
- Opportunities for teaching do exist with our FM residents and other staff.
