Summary: Requesting Maternal Fetal Medicine coverage for physician practice in Omaha and Lincoln, NE to cover a physician resignation. Provider will cover clinic 8a-5p, night call 5p-8a, and 24 hour call on weekends. Locums will cover all three locations while on call (St. Elizabeth, Lakeside, and CUMC).

Schedule/Availability Requirements:

Oct, Nov and Dec

3-5 days (over a weekend) or up to a week at a time (including weekend). The two weeks in a month can be separated.

M-F 8:30a - 5p (Clinic - 1 Day no contact day), Call 8a handoff (weekends F/SA/Sun)

Duties: Clinic, L&D/PP

Required Procedures: All standard maternal fetal medicine procedures in a clinic and hospital setting, Obstetrics

EMR: EPIC

Support Staff: Front Desk and Clinical Support Staff, including ultrasound on-site

Reason for Coverage: Physician Resignation



Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:

Clinic: 15-20 patients per day


  1. What does day to day look like in the clinic? 8:00-4:30 (~45-60 m for lunch) Consults + read only US for MFM and also generalist read, inpatient US consult support, occasional private delivery patients or nurse midwife back up.
  2. How many patients in the clinic per day and how many admitted in the hospital on average? 15-20 patients / day
  3. Consultative only? Any procedure or delivery requirements? Consultative, some private OB (can discuss if this is an absolute no)
  4. Will there be additional MFM on staff? Omaha - Michael Barsoom
  5. Can you provide the schedule rotation between the facilities CUMC and Lakeside? Depending on candidate comfort - we may house them at one location (ex. CUMC Bergan and rotate the 2nd physician) this is up for discussion based on candidate pool.
  6. Facility Location: CHI Health Clinic Maternal Fetal Medicine – CUMC Bergan, CHI Health Clinic Maternal Fetal Medicine – Lakeside, CHI Health CUMC Bergan Mercy, CHI Health Lakeside Hospital. Will the provider be based out of CUMC Bergan Mercy? This is our Primary Omaha "Home Base"

Board Certification

NE License – will consider someone who needs to obtain a license.

Ob-Gyn Residency, Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship

Other Certifications – BLS, DEA, NRP

Malpractice – Clean Preferred
