Responsibilities include rounding with Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on NICU patients, well-babies, as well as supervising the APP’s attending high-risk deliveries at both locations. Each level II NICU is staffed with 24/7 in-house Advanced Practice Providers with a total of 3 Neonatologists who round and take call from home.

Qualifications

Fl licensure is required as well as must be ABP Certified in both Pediatrics and Neonatal/Perinatal medicine.

Working Hours

Schedule: a shift is 24 hrs, round at two hospitals then call from home.
In a month a 1.0 FTE should complete (on average) 10 24 hr coverage shifts as well as 5 “BU” shifts. The Back up (BU) is 24 hrs of just being in the area in case of a double emergency (,0.1% chance).
