We are seeking an experienced full-time Regional Medical Officer to lead our internal medicine team in Downey, CA. This role is ideal for a seasoned physician who combines exceptional clinical expertise with strong leadership and administrative skills. The RMO will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supporting strategic initiatives for growth and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for internal medicine providers, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to best practices.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance patient care, efficiency, and quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives and optimize clinical operations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support physicians and advanced practice providers to promote professional development and high performance.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators related to patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Serve as a liaison between medical staff and administration, fostering effective communication and alignment of organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Internal Medicine Physician, including at least 3 years of administrative or leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare management, clinical quality improvement, and medical staff leadership.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to drive change, enhance operational efficiencies, and foster a culture of excellence.
