We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Anesthesia Physician Medical Director to lead our anesthesia team at the Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. Position Highlights:

  • Competitive Compensation: $600,000 as 1099 + an additional $50,000 paid as W2, including full benefits.
  • 10 Weeks Off Annually to ensure you have a true work-life balance.
  • Overtime Opportunities:
  • OT if working beyond 3:30 pm on non-call days.
  • OT for working more than 10 hours on weekends.
  • No In-House Call Required, with a manageable 1:5 call rotation.
  • Post-Call Days Guaranteed Off.
  • Lead and supervise a wide range of anesthesia cases, including neurology, podiatry, and more.
  • Heart and Vascular Cases are handled at Our Lady of Lourdes Heart Hospital by a separate group of providers.
  • Ample opportunities to work on your days off if desired for additional income.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the anesthesia team, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise a diverse range of anesthesia cases across multiple specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, neurology, and more.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices for anesthesia services.
  • Work closely with clinical leaders and staff to ensure smooth operations and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Ensure a collaborative environment with medical, nursing, and administrative teams.
  • Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.

Requirements:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience across a wide range of anesthesiology services.
  • Ability to effectively manage teams and ensure high standards of care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
