Medical Director MD / DO – Missoula, MT

IM or FM trained with experience; Excellent regional medical director support; Must have minimum 4-5 years HM experience and ideally 1-2 years of leadership experience
Schedule and Shift Details
- Flexible scheduling options
- Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the clinical operations of the medical practice to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Develop and implement medical policies and procedures in compliance with state regulations and industry’s best practices.
- Provide direct medical care to patients, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of the medical team, including physicians, nurses, and support staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records.
- Monitor and analyze clinical performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Represent medical practice at community events and professional meetings.
- Mentor and support ongoing education and professional development for medical staff.
Medical Director Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Current, unrestricted state medical license
- Board certification in a relevant specialty
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams
