Medical Director MD / DO – Billings, MT

IM or FM trained with experience; Excellent regional medical director support; Must have minimum 4-5 years HM experience and ideally 1-2 years of leadership experience

Schedule and Shift Details

  • Flexible scheduling options
  • Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the clinical operations of the medical practice to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Develop and implement medical policies and procedures in compliance with state regulations and industry’s best practices.
  • Provide direct medical care to patients, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of the medical team, including physicians, nurses, and support staff.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records.
  • Monitor and analyze clinical performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Represent medical practice at community events and professional meetings.
  • Mentor and support ongoing education and professional development for medical staff.

Medical Director Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Current, unrestricted state medical license
  • Board certification in a relevant specialty
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams
