Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead primary care, behavioral health, wellness, dental, optometry, laboratory, radiology, revenue cycle, medical director, and support staff.
  • Develop and implement DWC's strategic and annual plans to improve healthcare services, including exploring clinical expansion opportunities.
  • Oversee health systems policies and procedures, contributing to Tribe-wide initiatives.
  • Identify and secure funding opportunities through grants, IHS programs, and other sources.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (CARF, AAAHC, FAHQ, ACHC).
  • Mentor and supervise DWC staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage DWC's internal and external customer service, quality assurance, and risk resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements, including risk management, infection control, and customer safety.
  • Collaborate with Kahtnu'tana Dena'ina Health Board and Tribal Council on health systems initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, health sciences, or related field.
  • Seven years of healthcare leadership experience with clinical operations, revenue cycle, and management of clinical staff.
  • Experience in health program strategy development, quality, and service delivery.
  • Experience in policy and procedure development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of Alaska Tribal Health Care Operations, Indian Health Services, and Self-Governance.
