Associate Chief Medical Information Officer opening in NY - Opportunity in Cooperstown, NY; Albany 75m, Syracuse 80m - Full Time - Permanent Position - Preferred: Board certification / eligibility in Clinical Informatics - Patient-care experience in varied clinical settings including inpatient and ambulatory - Interest, aptitude and experience in EMR and other clinical system use, development, training and governance. - Experience working in an organization with advanced EHR capabilities, such as CPOE and Clinical Decision Support - Experience working within a Clinical EMR governance structure Job Description & Responsibilities: - The ACMIO, in dyad partnership with the director of Informatics, will help lead initiatives in Informatics and support healthcare delivery throughout the organization. The ACMIO will report to the CMIO and partner with other ACMIOs and informaticists. The ACMIO will also work with and support the telehealth team and will, in some cases, have telehealth APPs reporting to them and will be the Supervisor/Collaborator for the APPs if appropriate based on-board certification of the ACMIO. - This role will include Examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. Typical job duties include taking patient histories, performing or requesting diagnostic tests, making diagnoses, prescribing treatment and vaccinations and performing follow-up examinations, as well as educating patients in disease prevention and management and health maintenance. Additional duties include preparing medical records, clinical reports and correspondences. Commit to train future physicians and APCs to deliver quality health services to patients of diverse cultural, ethnic and economic backgrounds. Physicians also will interact with students and physician and NP residents and during those interactions will teach the students and residents to treat all patients with dignity regardless of the patients background. - Areas this position covers: Telehealth including practitioners performing on demand video, asynchronous video visits, PCSL augmentation, Annual wellness visits and Nursing informatics. - This position will be an active partner with the group's Innovation program.
