Adelphi is seeking a Medical Director to provide both clinical and administrative services at a facility located Elkhorn, Wisconsin.

Requirements:
• Active WI license

• DEA
• BLS, ACLS
• ABLM, CMD
• 1 Year experience working in a long-term care setting as an Medical Director

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement resident care policies covering pain management, symptom control, and resident assessments (physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs), reviewed annually.
• Evaluate staff training programs to ensure nursing competencies and address identified gaps.
• Recommend education programs to improve outcomes and tailor training based on the resident population (e.g. geriatrics, mental health).
• Identify specific training needs (e.g. ventilators, IVs, trachs) and establish a system to track training effectiveness.
• Ensure competency-based training includes practical skills and critical thinking in complex care settings, not just online modules.
• Conduct initial examinations within 72 hours of admission and schedule follow-ups as needed.
• Commit 20 hours per month to medical director duties and provide attending physician services.
• Be responsive to policy updates and available for Department of Health Services surveys and investigations.
• Partner closely with residents, ensuring all physicians complete their tasks.
• Meet regularly with clinical management to discuss care delivery and attend monthly QAPI meetings.
• Any other duties assigned by the Department.
