Adelphi is seeking highly qualified and experienced physician to oversee medical direction and support for all programs providing medical services in the clinics,home, and community settings for the City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Ideal candidate will play a crucial leadership role, combining medical expertise with administrative responsibilities to ensure the delivery of effective public health services.

Requirements:
• MD/DO License
• Active WI License
• 5+ more years as a Physician
• BC/BE
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Skills:
• Ability to provide medical direction and overall coordination of medical care.
• Consult on public health activities such as communicable disease control, immunizations, community health planning, and more.
• Experience in a leadership role, combining medical expertise with administrative responsibilities to ensure the delivery of effective public health services
• Experience in providing medical oversight and quality assurance for vaccination orders and consultation.
• Experience in providing telephonic and in-person consultation on sexually transmitted diagnoses and treatment, and consultation on communicable disease control.

Responsibilities:
• Medical Oversight: Lead medical practices, develop and evaluate health plans and policies, provide expert advice on complex cases, and collaborate with senior officials and regional groups to ensure evidence-based practices.
• Clinical Services: Provide coverage when advanced providers are unavailable, set clinical care standards, and oversee quality care, including the use of NPI for medication procurement.
• Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality assurance programs, recommend improvements in performance and services, and identify opportunities for collaboration to meet public health goals.
• Staff Education and Training: Deliver clinical training to staff, review competencies, and occasionally serve as a mentor for mid-level providers.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, work with regulatory bodies to maintain standards, and support consistent operational performance.
• Public Health Policy and Advocacy (Desired): Advocate for public health initiatives, develop policies, collaborate with stakeholders, and present proposals to leadership and city officials.
• Community Engagement (Desired): Lead community health education, foster partnerships, and participate in public awareness campaigns to address local health needs.
• Collaboration and Partnerships (Desired): Work with healthcare organizations and providers to enhance community health, communicate with leadership and partners, and provide guidance on employee health policies.
