Beacon Behavioral is one of the largest and most established behavioral health programs in Louisiana. For over 25 years, Beacon employs caring staff at locations across southeast Louisiana: Baton Rouge, Metairie, Slidell, Hammond, Bogalusa, Bunkie, Opelousas, and Lutcher. We currently provide inpatient programs and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) that provide therapy to those struggling with emotional disorders, substance abuse, and mental disorders. We are growing with as we partner with several private practices located in TX, MS, FL, AR, PA, PGH and several additional practices across the US in months to come.

To fulfill this mission, Beacon Behavioral Hospital seeks dedicated, compassionate, and professional staff in a variety of roles within behavioral health services.

Physician Coverage :
  • New Orleans Hospital Location East Bank (34) beds
  • New Orleans Westbank Location (24) beds
  • Both hospitals operate under 1 License
  • Lutcher, La Hospital (24) beds – separate hospital license


Consulting Physician: For all consulting services provided to hospital, shall compensate Consulting Physician at a flat rate of $4500 per month for services rendered. Consulting Physician agrees to submit monthly statement prior to or on the last day of each month. (This rate is negotiable)


Compensation for Medical Director Administrative Services:

$200.00 per hour as compensation for providing Medical Director Services, not to exceed 25 hours per month. Physician is required to ensure he provides commercially reasonable services for the stated number of hours per year,

Physician shall receive $13.50 per hour as compensation for providing full time on call coverage services twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week for all patients in their patient unit for a maximum of 744 hours per month.

Hospital is a Louisiana corporation licensed by the State of Louisiana to provide hospital services and operates hospital is New Orleans, Louisiana which provides inpatient services and outpatient services for patients with psychiatric and behavioral disorders.

Hospital desires to contract with Physician to provide clinical services provided to Hospital’s patients in the Hospital. Hospital desires to contract with Physician to provide on-call coverage for the Hospital’s inpatient and outpatient departments.

Consulting Physician Services:

Consulting Physician shall serve as the Consulting Physician of the Hospitals and shall provide all consulting Physician services required by applicable Medicare criteria and governing Medicare certified inpatient psychiatric hospitals.

Consulting Physician shall provide medical direction and Consulting Physician supervisory services for the benefit of the Hospital and its patients.

Moreover, the Consulting Physician will arrange credentialed medical coverage, in his/her absence to be coordinated with the Administrator(s).

The Consulting Physician shall participate in committee activities relevant to the quality of professional services furnished by the Hospital.

The services required shall include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Be available to perform history and physician examination within 24 hours of admission to the Hospital.
  • Consult with Administrator/Director of Nursing/clinical staff on an as needed basis in matters relating to clinical services provided by the Hospital.
  • Provide immediate care and intervention for patients in crisis situations.
  • Works closely with other healthcare professionals.
  • Provides ongoing support and counseling to patients and their families, helping them understand and manage their conditions.
  • Provide and administer an on-call schedule which makes available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, each day of the year medical coverage for the physical medical needs of the Hospital’s patients.
