The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This role oversees the day-to-day operations of the HR department, coordinating with Directors of Recruitment, Benefits, and other areas. Acting as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, the VP assesses and anticipates HR needs, proactively communicating these needs to both HR and business management. The VP seeks to develop integrated solutions, formulating partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services that align with the organization's business objectives.

Responsible for overseeing HR operations including conducting meetings with business units, providing guidance to management, analyzing trends for policy development, managing labor relations, conducting investigations and adjudicating grievances, preparing for hearings, updating HR policies, managing performance, fostering work relationships, facilitating meetings, supporting employee transitions, advising on restructuring and planning, identifying training needs, ensuring HR alignment with business goals, conducting training and leave management, promoting positive relations through recognition programs, and overseeing communication efforts.

Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an HR generalist role with a strong background in labor relations.
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential, or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
